    Midwest Homes Inc. has been doing this with all of our custom design homes since 1969.  We’ve been listening and we hope this year’s parade entry fits your needs.  You’ve asked for an open floor plan design and we have a great room that is open to the dinette, kitchen and the foyer.  “Make it bright and airy” you’ve said, we’ve responded with vaulted ceilings and large windows for plenty of daylight.  “Attention to details are always important” and our craftsmen create beautiful, hand-crafted millwork details. 

    Efficient use of space is crucial so we have included art niches, storage compartments, a built in desk and plenty of pantry cabinets for a family. You've noted that “Convenience is a necessity” and we have responded with everything from cubbies in the mudroom off the garage to a second floor laundry near all the bedrooms near all the bedrooms.

    Our kitchen is functional for the whole family to gather in yet is stylish for entertaining.  Speaking of entertaining, this home has a whole house sound system with music available in five different areas of the home as well as a surround sound system in the great room. 

    “The master suite must be a retreat” you’ve said and we have responded with a large master bedroom with tray ceilings and a master bath with a custom shower with body spray jets.

    Energy efficiency is on everyone’s minds these days and we kept that in mind with this home from a 93% efficient furnace and 13-seer air conditioner to Low E Glass in the windows, to a sealed combustion water heater and the list goes on.  There are two covered porches on this home to give you a couple of areas to retreat from the sun or inclement weather that also help to keep the sun directly off the windows.
